Setup Guide

Hardware & Software Installation

Step 1 — Hardware Installation

Install the kit and wire actuators

  1. Install the guidance kit onto the mortar shell using the mechanical fit kit for your caliber.
  2. Wire VBAT (6–17V) and GND.
  3. Connect the 4-fin actuator harness (FIN1–FIN4).
  4. Verify the ARM pin (arming safety interlock) is in the safe state before proceeding.
Step 2 — Software Installation

Install the restricted-access configuration tool

  1. Install the Bullseye-M configuration tool (program credentials required).
  2. Connect via UART_CFG.
  3. Confirm the kit reports its serial number and firmware revision.
Step 3 — Firmware & Configuration

Load ballistic profile and calibrate fins

  1. Load the target ballistic profile for your program.
  2. Calibrate fin-actuator neutral positions.
  3. Run the terminal-guidance self-test in simulation mode.
Step 4 — First Power-On & Verification

Range safety checklist

  1. Confirm arming-interlock behavior under supervised range conditions only.
  2. Verify the CEP self-test result before any live deployment.
  3. Complete the full range safety checklist per program protocol.
